A Bit About Us

In 2015, Clean Coasts Ballynamona was formed to clean Ballynamona Beach.

​

The East Cork Biodiversity Networking Programme was founded in 2017.

​

Roll forward to present day - Clean Coasts Ballynamona cleans and maintains almost 80kms of coastline, 3% of the total Irish coast with over 300 volunteers.  The East Cork Biodiversity Networking Programme manages 34acres for wildlife and has consulted on over 600acres.  Helping private individuals and businesses implant biodiversity plans.

In 2021, The Sea and Land Trust is born, to manage and coordinate the activities of Clean Coasts Ballynamona, The East Cork Biodiversity Networking Programme and the newly formed PLANET Ireland - Putting Land Aside For Nature Environmental Trust.
